Rent a car in Agadir without a credit card
Nearly every agency demands a credit card in the driver's name, with a limit high enough to block the deposit. Debit card refused, limit too low, prepaid card: the trip ends at the counter. At Nathalie Cars the question never comes up — we take no card imprint at all.
Since there is no deposit, there is nothing to block. Payment happens in cash (euros or dirhams) or by card, at the moment we hand you the keys.

The credit card is what holds the deposit: the agency blocks €700 to €1,500 on it for the whole rental. A debit card cannot do that — hence the refusals at the counter, usually discovered on arrival, once the flight is paid for.
What we ask for instead
A passport or ID card, a driving licence held for at least a year, and a phone number reachable during your stay. That is it: no card is shown, scanned or blocked.
How you pay
At key handover, in cash in euros or dirhams, or by card — an ordinary debit card included, since this is a plain payment and not a hold on funds. Nothing is prepaid online.

Can I rent a car in Agadir with a debit card?
Yes. Since no card imprint is taken, the type of card makes no difference: it only serves to pay for the rental, if you choose to pay by card.
Can I pay entirely in cash?
Yes, in euros or dirhams, at key handover. It is the most common payment method among our customers.
Does the card have to be in the driver's name?
No. There is no imprint and no deposit, so no cardholder requirement. The driver simply has to be named on the contract with a valid licence.
Can a young driver without a credit card rent?
