Sidi Ifni was Spanish until 1969 and still looks it: white and blue Art Deco buildings, the former consulate, a monumental staircase facing the ocean. The town is 2 h 45 from Agadir, at the end of a coast road through Tiznit, Mirleft and Legzira.

What to see
Hassan II square and its Andalusian arcades, the old lighthouse, the Aéropostale staircase, the fishing port reached by a historic cable car, and the surf-battered beach. The Sunday market fills the whole centre.
Going further south

Five and a half hours of driving there and back makes for a full day. A night there lets you add Legzira at sunset and Mirleft in the morning.
Is the road suitable for an ordinary car?
Yes, entirely. Only the cliff section between Mirleft and Sidi Ifni calls for slow driving, especially in sea mist.
